Kind of hard to explain. This school is very small, around 1100 kids. Usually Liberal Colleges are private, high education schools. I kind of liken it to a place you go to "expand your horizons", meaning to really find out what you want to do when you grow up.

Liberal arts schools generally teach a broader curriculum including a good deal of history, language and social siences as opposed to a career track in something like say engineering. A person with a bachelor's (4 year degree) in Liberal Arts often goes into teaching, writing, etc., but most use their Liberal Arts education as a stepping stone to a graduate degree in other high paying fields.

If you can afford it and you are a dedicated student, it's an excellent way to go. There aren't many 18 year old high school graduates out there who have a good idea of what they want in life. So like VolnTitan said, it's where you find out what you really want to do when you grow up.
