I hope he makes it back. I much prefer him as a return man over Reynaud. Reynaud didn't seem as smart with his choices on when to take it out or catch it on a punt.

Good to hear for Mariani. I always like the position battles when we're deciding between the better of the two.. for the past several years we seems to be deciding between the less bad of the two. :shakehead:

    Haha..

"It would be his biggest return yet"

Hopefully he sticks! I feel like Mariani always put us in the best spot to win where Reynaud put us behind the 20 way to often!

Before he got hurt I was looking forward to see him get opportunities at receiver too. He seemed like that kind of quick-moves guy who could have a knack for getting open with good hands. In my mind I compared him to a potential D Mas / Wes Welker type although that's probably not a fair comparison. It reminded me of D Mas in the early days when Mason was just returning kicks/punts and I kept wishing Fisher would put him in on offense more because he made things happen. It finally happened for Mason, but I sortof hoped the same for Mariani.
