I was irresponsible as a young parent- but I never almost forgot my kids in the car.

BUT there have been a bunch of occasions where I'm driving for a while and think "OH ***! I LEFT SON/DAUGHTER!!!... OR... did I?" but so far, I haven't actually. You get used to having them in the backseat- then you drive without them and can't remember if they're supposed to be back there or not..... and where you left them.

I lost my kid at Disney World though.

He was a total baby about it. Should have capitalized.

Yesterday a neighboring town to me had this happen, 15 month old died from being left in a car too long.

DONT LEAVE YOUR KIDS OR DOGS IN A CAR, THEY CAN DIE!

It's a good enough invention... gotta consider the society we're in.

Have to label coffee with warnings that contents are hot. Society is full of stupid.

Actually saw that on the local news. Sh*t I'm old... watching the local news.

Don't have cable, so it was just on... and then they showed the stupid invention that this thread was about.

Have you seen what that coffee did to that lady?

Problem was McD's kept the coffee hotter than advised. It was burning tons of people. Not just "damn! That's hot!" type burns... but serious burns.

There's a video about it somewhere.

But still... true. Like someone else said though- the people that need this- wont get it anyway.

if you forget your kids/baby in a car- there's no hope for you.

Yeah the coffee was freakin' nuclear hot and the lid was not affix-able in a way that kept the coffee inside the cup. That woman's skin was completely melted away (her lap) and she is still in agony today.

    Pics if you dare:

yea, that coffee thing was complete horror. Shame on the defense for making it seem like a frivolous lawsuit.

Frankly, that has nothing to do with labeling... that's just negligence on McDonald's part making the coffee THAT hot and using shoddy "equipment" to put it in - the cup.

She deserved a settlement... the labeling - if they still do it - is stupid.

Surprised guns don't have labels on the ends of barrels warning that bullets come out...
