Got a WII....

Yep, Wii has some games that suck, I guess most systems do...

Let me recommend you Rayman vs Raving Rabbids 2, or Super Monkey Ball for good multiple players mini-games. Also, Mario Party 8 is like a board game full of mini-games. Good to share with other family members who are not usual gamers.

Big Brain Academy is fun for a while, and this kind of "practical" games are in vogue

For one player games, i liked Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, ResidentEvil 4 wii edition.

Mario Strikers, I found it so so. I need to check fifa and madden

Games that really suck: Carnival, Playground, Rampage for wii and Chicken Shoot.

Games not that good as I thought: The Simsons (I just get bored with it)

 

btw ammo, it's always a good idea to check up on a game before purchasing it. Carnival and Playground were not received well

 

Thanks for the heads up on Carnival and Playground games. Was considering getting those for the kids.
Puck, it is hard to trust reviews from magazines and sites given they all have a marketing agenda (a really bad game may be well reviewed based on the amount spent by game on site/mag ((see Kane & Lynch)) or vise versa).

 

Jeff, the Wii system is not for me. I have a 360 and it is far & away the better system. But, the Wii is what it is, a good system for the casual gamer. But I can't say enough how much fun Mario Galaxy is.
