P90x was great for a week until my body was just like "pssssssshhh **** this".

Also the guy on the videos...just no.

Recommend cross fit. Apparently it works and then you get to tell everyone about it 24/7 on social networks. They are worse than vegans.

I just eat like an ******* and work out and run. I'm just in a constant state of needing to lose like 15 pounds because my diet is atrocious. If I didn't run I'd be 300lbs.

Cold beer on a hot day isn't appealing to me. I'd rather drink, in fact my alcohol consumption increases, when it's cold outside. Whiskey and sweet tea on a brisk October evening? Yes please.

    dude no

kicking soda has been harder than kicking smokes for me, i've given up. I can go a month or so on carbonated water, but as you said, nothing beats an ice cold soda in the summer.

Soda is awful man. Unless you take an ice cold coke in the glass bottle, drain a couple mouthfuls, replace with bourbon. Enjoy with some peanuts.

That is a hot day drink.

Depression and/or stress will definitely do it. Kinda same deal with me (marital troubles and whatnot) a few years back. I was lifting regularly, eating right, and in pretty damn good shape. But then I got so stressed with all the home stuff (on top of the normal everyday stress) and I just gave up. Pretty much turned into a tub of goo and all that hard work was down the drain. Then I had to start back at square one. Sucks, but I'm sticking with it this time. Won't ever let myself go like that again (at least until I'm on the other side of 50).

It's relatively easy to lose weight. It's keeping it off that's the hard part. That's the trouble with things like miracle diets or these 90-day transformation exercise programs. If you don't have a plan for when the diet/workout regimen ends, guess what? All/most of that weight is coming right back. It's really about changing your lifestyle. I can't remember where I read it, but awhile ago I read a stat that said the slower you lose weight, the more likely you are to keep it off. The rationale behind it was that if you take weight off slowly and consistently you are effectively changing your lifestyle. But when you do these insane diets/workout programs all you're doing is busting your butt for X amount of time. There's an "end game" involved.

I haven't had a sip of soda in probably 5 years.
