The Seahawks cut Grant Wistrom (no link yet, but NFL Network is reporting it). He certainly didn't play up to his contract in Seattle, but if he came cheap he might make for good veteran depth on the defensive line.

  2. Adam Schefter of the NFL Network reports that the Seattle Seahawks have cut defensive end Grant Wistrom, only days after signing defensive end Patrick Kerney. He also reports David BowenS(miami) could visit Tennessee this weekend.

    who would you rather have?

eh, he gets more pressure than sacks, but he would probably help against the run.

he was a beast coming out of college. haven't followed his NFL career. he's probably in his early 30s but has a couple good years left.

    yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we missed out on one missouri-born DE (justin smith) and now having a shot at another missouri-born DE is great...

(ps - being from missouri originally I followed these players in high school)...

We need more of a run stopper right now than pass rusher.

    Grant Wistrom anyone?

Didn't see it anywhere on here, but apparently the Seahawks cut Wistrom. He's 30, but he still seems to play at a high level (certainly compared to what we have opposite KVB now).
If we don't plan on drafting a DE early, he might be a good pickup, at the right price. Thoughts?

  10. He'd be a solid addition, though he's not a great pass rusher by any means.
