Obviously Williams will have to watch how he says things, but I think his reputation prior to bounty-gate and his new look will make things work fine.

I mean lets be real here, he's not the first guy to motivate his players the way he did, he's just the first one to speak on it.

Guys know whats up, they'll listen to his advice however he phrases it. They'd be dumb not to, Williams is a proven winner.

Williams will have a lot to prove this year. He will be out to show he is still a good DC (or whatever he is) and will be motivated. Do not see him being too soft.

I don't really think it will be an issue. There are still enough other coaches for him to be able to step back. I think they'll leave the rah rah "go out and kill someone" motivational speeches to other coaches and let Williams just focus on analytical stuff like drawing up blitz schemes.

I can not wait to see how we use Ayers and Brown now that Williams is here.

If it were up to me we'd send those two guys 99% of the time.

I mean think about how quick QB's would have to release the ball... 2.5 - 3 seconds?? Surely our CB's could keep up with receivers for that long, and that would still leave receivers in front of Griffin and the SS.

    It could work.

Williams is a hige upgrade over gray and I hope he is really calling the shots although not in title. He is a top 5 defensive cord. in the league and the titans should be much better on defense with his addition. But even williams cannot camo how bad our safeties are. I hope we cut griffin and have 2 new ones game 1

There is not another FS out there in the draft (that we will take) that is as good or better than Griffin. Why release griffin and just create an even bigger hole!

No it couldnt work b/c our corners play 10 yards off of the other teams wr's.....Teams would eat us up with quick screens and slants!
