    I'll give them Dreamboat Annie thru Bebe le Strange - but that is only four years. GnR alternately reshaped the terrain.
    I have no major dog in this race but I certainly can't find two decades of greatness out of Heart.

    I do not in any way shape or form recognize 80's Heart. 70's stuff was excellent.

    GnR, it turns out, was actually just Izzy Stradlin's stage front....worthless without him.

    I really dig both bands. It's easy to downplay GnR's contributions as they were so short-lived and their hits are beyond played out. But I gotta give it to them.

    It would've been very interesting to see just how big they could've become had they stayed together.

    I agree w Avv that ditching Izzy lost them some edge that they never seemed to overcome. I don't think they would have caught lightening in a bottle twice either way. The New York Dolls of the 80's basically. Sudden impact/no future..

    Most of my favorite gnr songs are not the famous ones. They made 4 amazing albums, I'd hardly say they are a one hit wonder.
