All of the Zeitgeist movies hammer the point that other religions had same stories, same holidays as Christians

 

Man, do I get tired of zealots screaming PAGAN!! PAGAN!!...usually without having any idea what they're talking about. Americans not smart.

 

Lol we are not any better. I worked with some hipster pagans who called themselves pagan because they saw it is counterculture cool.

They loved to talk about Christmas being pagan but had no idea what that actually meant. They seemed to think it was something like Wicca.

When I explained what it really was; the mainstream Roman religion with Emperor Aurelian, Sol Invictus and all that they seemed to get disappointed.

I think they have probably just pretended what I said did not happen and went on believing what they want to.

 

Isn't pagan a blanket term used to cover pretty much all non judeo-christian religions?

 

No; just any non-J-C religions from Europe and any environmentalist concept.
