Even my dad says he's lost a step.

Yes, he's lost a step. In '09 he would've been gone on that 42 yard run against the Texans last week.

What does that mean? He doesn't smoke or drink. How can dancing around and taking pictures at a club wear you down? It's somewhat of a work out. If you've ever gone clubbing you'd know that just standing around those places is a workout.

    He has lost a step.

That doesn't mean he won't get it back if/when he is fresher, but he definitely doesn't have that extra gear.

I think for the most part we can all agree that CJ isn't being used to his best ability. Perfect example would be the Houston game in Nashville last year. That is the way you use CJ. Line him out wide. Throw some screens. Something out of the ordinary. Running it up the middle is fooling no one. Not just that but teams are not even scared this year with the thought of CJ taking it to the house anymore. And that has also been big.

And as much as I like Ahmard, I like CJ better out of a singleback formation.

agreed less bodies clogging things up, not saying AH cound not be used on the tank formation when we need that 1 yard, but on 1st and 10 spread'em out and give CJ2K room to roam

Hmmmmm.....The Dick was much more of a mean runner, much like AP. That dude had all the grace, plus would put his knees in someone's chest! Not something that CJ does. I'll take 3 first rounders anyday for CJ!!! Hell, i'll take 2 1st rounders, hell I'll take Jamal Charles and a 2nd!

    He's looked slow all season.

LBs have been getting him even without the angle. Before they would have the angle and he'd still somehow blow by them like it was nothing. Now if they're even behind him, they seem to be catching him.

My bet is that CJ took it easy this offseason after feeling himself a bit too much, and he hasn't been able to reach the shape he was in last season. Or at least before he became tired.

He does stay out late on nights before games though. Not getting rest can surely slow you down.
He's been seen at midnight riding around while having a game the next morning. Not smart.

I would say more like Billy Sanders or possibly Waler Payton. Not even close to Dickerson, except that if CJ get's too greedy he'll ruin his future like Dickerson did.

Agreed......Eric the Dick was a big boy (6'3", 230ish). He ran off tackle behind Jackie Slater and was as big as most linebackers. Once he got in the secondary, he was fast and could shed the puny CB's and Safeties.

I'd take 3 first rounders for CJ too.
