Championship level teams are made by DEPTH. Not signing a few splashy ESPN darling big money players. Quit dogging other people until you know what your talking about.

I think the Titans are alot better now. Iur coaching in all three phases will make all the difference. We need to: 1) Loose C.J. and his selfish me first attitude and replace it with a team first mentality. and 2) Draft the best pass rusher available.

Every year we make these off season threads and we list our dream guys or big names to go after and every year some other team scoops them up because they have crazy cap space to work with. Last offseason, turns out, we actually signed a guy or two who were talked about extensively on the forum. So I guess now every year we have to make a big splash in FA to make everyone happy despite the relatively lack of success these big spenders have on the field.

    1. Let's just get this out of the way, Verner wasn't coming back. Blame Verner, blame the team, at this point it doesn't matter. We gave him the same offer and he chose Tampa. It's done.

    2. We did make upgrades with our signings. Woodyard is better than any MLB we have, McCluster is a pro bowl returner and will bring another dimension to the offense, Woods was heavily regarded in Pittsburgh and brings even more DL depth and flexibility, and does it really matter who our back up QB is? Seriously?

    3. Can't believe I'm saying this but I think people forgot we actually have a real coaching staff. We have Whiz who is a pretty good offensive mind himself, Horton is one of the best DCs in the NFL, Mularkey with HC experience comes here to coach TEs, Cioffi did wonders with the Browns DBs, we already know about Croom and Jefferson, and Lou Spanos was a huge get at LB. I'm not listing everyone because this staff is loaded with experience but you guys get the picture. We have been a solid team with a former coaching staff that looks like they couldn't handle a high school team compared to our new guys. They will improve the players we already have, Horton can mold the defense into whatever it needs to be based on our players strengths, and Whiz is going to develop Locker even more.

Quit complaining because we didn't get your unreasonable list of FA targets and get ready for the draft.

Hopefully this team first guy is actually good at carrying the football too.

Oher will be better than Stewart was last year/would have been this year. I don't think there's any doubting that.

McCluster will be a better punt returner than what we had last year. I don't think there's any doubting that. He has offered almost nothing offensively his entire career, so I do think we overpaid, but that's a matter of opinion.

The rest? Woodyard has always been light in the ass when it comes to playing the run. Good cover guy, but I don't see how it changes our situation. Don't know much about Al Woods. Clipboard Jesus will lead us to the first pick if he has to play.

We lost Verner, who didn't break the bank, so the rest of the league must not have thought that highly of him. He plays a premium position that usually gets paid if you're a topnotch free agent.

    I think we're better.

    Yup.

I'm still hoping we find a vet CB, there's still some decent players out there that would atleast bring in competition for Coty and BWW.

    1st - Anthony Barr
    2nd - Jimmy G
    4th - ILB
    5th - CB

If Whiz wants to stick with Locker for one more year

    1st - Anthony Barr
    2nd - ILB
    4th - CB
    5th - OT
