Have we figured out how to shut down elite pass rushers?

I watched the game twice now, Conklin gets a lot of help

its not a bad thing, a lot of good teams use their TE's to help knock the edge rusher off the line

 

Geoff charted it this morning as well. Pretty similar

 

And it's smart football. Would much rather have this conversation than "why tf is poutasi getting no help?!?"

 

yea and hes a rookie, help is fine

 

It's the narrative PFF has created by putting him as their RT1... Conk doing fine but no chance he should be that high with as much scheme help he's getting.

thats always where PFF loses peoples respect, they dont know the plays being called so they only go by the end result of a play...

 

You don't neccesarily need to know the play being called even.. just realize when someone is being schemed help. Just straight LOOK at it.

Absolutely! I shouldn't have, but I went back to look at how that draft played out. Just depressing. Pretty much that entire class is gone. It's crazy what a real GM can do for a franchise....

 

step one: Get rid of the Whiz pass protection systems.

 

So he's not amazing but he's excellent.
