Hawkins Reminds Fisher of DMase

I can't take what Fisher says for face value. Everything he says is a waste of time. About Hawkins though ....... I hope he pans out sometime. I don't see him playing much if any .... for some reason the coaches seem content with what we have.

 

those are some BIG shoes to fill...hope Hawks ready for a battle in training camp, I don't think his job is guaranteed. Say what you will, but I think its best man wins in that situation.

 

When camp starts and the pre-season, we shall see. I hope all these rookies show off and give other teams something to worry about. We need to get into the Superbowl picture...which will take awhile, but hopefully in the next two years. I think its possible.

 

Reading that quote and then seeing your signature immediately afterwards makes me giggle.

Anyhow, we could sure use Mase 2 real soon, but how's Hawk's attitude? I think I read at some point he wasn't as dedicated as he should be, likely to change but really troubling and a possible undoing. Anyone recall Mase's attitude way back when in his rookie days, for that matter?

this constant influx of unproven recievers will not help young...consistency is key w/ developing a qb like vince.

i aboslutly loved mason when he was a titan...but nevertheless it took him round 4 yrs to develop into a legitimate target....if young is goin to get any better he will need a 'now' reciever...not a project.


as of now the only sure comparison is their 4 letter nickname...

 

We have perhaps the greatest qb in college history. A one man show. Don't you want that weapon on the loose? I want to tap into that. I want to tap into CJ's speed. The old conservative offense refuses to do that. If Vince isn't the yardage leader every game, which he has not been, I feel like he is wasting away here. He's been a so-so qb because of Fisher not allowing the offense to open up. The guy may not be a pure passer, but he's a weapon, and we are trying to hide him, not take advantage of him when we go conservative.
