Why does a speeding ticket go before a grand jury? Isn't that a bit odd? But face stomping, assault with a stick, road rage, etc. I dunno...

The usual sentence in court is 48 hours (one weekend) in jail, Haynesworths attorney asked the judge to let a jury decide what his punishment should be, hoping they would not put him in jail

The usual punishment for a speeding ticket is 48 hrs in jail? Since when? I've gotten tons of speeding tickets, and never had to spend 5 minutes in jail.

No doubt. I would be a hardened criminal by now if I spent 48 hours in jail for every speeding ticket.

Doing 95 no jail, just don't break 100 in Williamson Co.
