    Helmet rule passes
Faced with concerns from coaches but possible litigation worries arising from current and future players, owners voted on Wednesday to outlaw the use of the crown of the helmet by offensive or defensive players in the open field.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the rule passed by a “wide margin.” (It’ll be interesting to know who opposed it, and whether there was a closer initial vote followed by a more comfortable second tally.)

Shouldnt effect us much. CJ and locker are not ones to lower their head in the open field. Dont know enough about Greene to know if thats something he likes to do.

Lead with your shoulder, like you were taught and like you're supposed to and everything will be fine. Spearing has ALWAYS been illegal in football. It's one of the first things they teach you.

31-1.. I wonder which owner was the smart one.

Apparently there are 31 dumb owners. I figured this would be a landslide against this.

Guess Eddie Lacy will slip to the 7th round now.

This rule right here clearly shows that Goodell is a puppet.

With it being 31-1, it makes me feel like the owners pressured him into laying out this rule in the first place.
