Jets | Edwards deal done; team to receive draft pick from Chiefs
    Fri, 6 Jan 2006 08:33:04 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets have agreed on compensation for Jets' head coach Herman Edwards with the Chiefs surrendering a fourth-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft to the Jets in exchange for the rights to hire Edwards.

The NFL doesn't prevent it, but the deal has to be approved by the commissioner.

    Jets got served Big Time

Thats what happens when you have an owner and GM that do not have a clue about sports???

KC GM knew WTF he was doing he set them up for the ol Rope a Dope.

He conned the Jets into thinking they were gonna get some something good. Then he said nah buddy 4th rounder and thats it. By you letting this discussion occur you just threw Herm out there. No way in hell he can go back.

So either you take a 4th rounder, or you let him go and well get him for nothing, or you pay his salaray for two years so he will remain untouchable.

The Jets sure werent gonna do the last two so they took the 4th rounder
