I tried to start a "conversation" with you but it would not allow me to. What gives TitanJeff?

I wanted to follow up regarding our conversation about Chappy's.

Chappy is rolling back the changes from Gordon Ramsay's visit. My friends liked the food at the re-launch but were unimpressed with the aesthetic changes. Chappy really laid into Ramsay in another interview I can't find right now, something about how he tried to make gumbo with smoked sausage and ruined it lol.

Can't wait til this episode airs. I hope we get a follow up Chappy interview after the episode.

Yes, thank you, I've been following that.
I believe Chappy, that they came in with a Hollywood script and and a pre-planned agenda. It's great drama, can't wait to watch the episode.

Yeah I've got an inside story that really makes Kitchen Nightmares seemed rigged. Definitely like typical "reality" tv, not always real.

All "reality" shows are scripted/staged to some extent or another. Typically it's pretty obvious too.

Oh well, I still enjoy Kitchen Nightmares and a handful of other "reality" shows.

Like, isn't it funny how EVERY owner is defiant and insists their food is the bomb but gee golly they just don't get why customers aren't coming in the door. Then they have their blowup moment. Then they inevitably realize that Gordon is a god and was right all along. They embrace the change and live happily ever after. You'd think at least once an owner would be like "Look Gordon, I know our food sucks and we're about to go out of business. I will comply 100% with what you wanna do". But that wouldn't be interesting television.

There's a very clear formula to it all that's quite easy to see.

    How legit is Kitchen Nightmares?

I've seen both Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef and liked it.

Call him an azzhole all you want, but I respect Ramsay, the reason why he's elite status is because it's either perfection or bust. If only all chefs had his standards, I'd eat out more.

I like KN a lot. As stated above, it's formulaic as all hell but still entertaining. I like it better than Hell's Kitchen. The drama/fighting on HK just really gets on my nerves. I like Master Chef best of all though. And it's not even close.

I am really underwhelmed in the direction he tried to take Chappy's, although I didn't eat there and haven't been so I can't personally verify or comment on the quality of the food or decor. But I had some friends that were actually at the re-launch episode. He tried to make Chappy's into southern fried food. Nashville does not need another southern fried food and burger place, cajun was/is a good niche for Chappy to have. Again, my problem with Chappy's has always been lousy service and the food is generally good but maybe it's hit or miss. Mostly hit though.

SO here is the BS part that I heard about. Basically they had someone do a "review" of Chappy's restaurant and how lousy it was and dated that review as if it was months or over a year ago. So the review itself was a fake. Then Ramsay "randomly" runs into this person on the street and asks him to expound upon that review.

Now I can't say if Ramsay new how BS that was (I would assume he did but can't say for certain) because it was production staff that set all that up.

Now I've said too much. I hope Ramsay doesn't send a bunch of fat obnoxious hell kitchens rejects to my house to beat me up. I'll have to sue him like his in-laws are.

Now I am starting to wonder if the inmates in RAMSEY BEHIND BARS are even convicted felons at all!
