Denver always has a good running game. These "compliments" may help but it's all on the players.

I am def. aware its a smack central spot. I will admit, its hard not to get overly defensive when your team has sucked for so much of its short history.

In response to your comment above:

More so in Rhodes case... But feel free to peruse the impact Gibbs has had in his NFL tenure. We are talking about more than just a ... "may help" situation with him coming aboard. Its what I am trying to get through to you guys. Purely speaking of his history, results PROVEN, what he has done with his offensive lineman, the results year in and year out with tip top running games... the impact he can have on this team is HUGE. And quickly. Not saying its for sure.... but again, the odds are with us.. not against us.

The odds are against the Texans. I really do not understand where you guys are coming from. You are in a division with three playoff teams. Why is this so hard for you to understand? You cannot win. You will not make the playoffs. The Texans will do good to win 8 games again. Then you guys can sit around on and talk about how the franchise is taking steps in the right direction while the rest of the division is in the post season. You can talk about your shiny new blocking system, back up QBs that you make starters, abundance of crap running backs and that one time you got lucky and beat the Colts. Texan fans are always looking on the bright side......

The Titans are going to suck next year! PERIOD! Ok, I am starting to get the hang of this now. I apologize for bringing actual substance to the conversation. MY BAD!

None of your substance is valid. You live in a fantasy land of "the Texans are on the way up". If I felt the Cows were capable of winning more than 8 games I would say so. If you cannot win games in your own division you are never gonna be better than just average. Hey but as always the glass is half full in Houston. I respect your positive outlook. Maybe the entire AFC south will just roll over and let you guys run right to the top.

Go ahead and breakdown for me which part is not valid. Lets go ahead and hash this out. You act like its impossible for the Texans to compete with the Titans this season. I mean are you serious? The great thing about your comments is I know for a fact you are not some NFL God who is all knowing and thinks he knows the Texans other than what is concieved in your head up above. Nor can you predict the future. Or can you??

Prove to me the Texans are not on the way up. Is it because Kubiack has taken a 2-14 cap strapped laughing stock of a team to .500 ball in just 2 seasons despite leading the league in players going to the injured reserve both seasons? I mean do you not remember how HORRID we were that 2 win season? And would you have EVER guessed we would be a .500 team just 2 seasons later? Absolutely NOT! Is it that we finally getting a LT in the first round everyone has said we have needed to do for years? Is it the solid drafting by the Texans under the new regime? The coaching additons..... most importantly Alex Gibbs and his PROVEN results in this league?? Which of those shows that we should not keep improving??

How is the world is going from 2 wins, to 6 wins, to 8 wins... NOT on the way up???

Another question for you... when you guys were 8-8 just over a season ago... did you not think you guys were "on the way up?" Was that fantasy land for you guys... Or is that just different?? lol.

Sure, this division is extremely tough. But there is no reason we should be a worse team next year... and most likely a much better team and not make things easy on anyone. Even "if" we finish last in the division because there ARE 3 other playoff teams.... doesnt mean we wont be a better team next year and give a heck of a fight. Heck, we would have made the playoffs last year if we were in the NFC East. Point being... we will be better, and as far as I know... we are all 0-0 and anything can happen.

Well the thing is I can't. You can't really prove they are "on the way up", "turning it around" or whatever you wanna call it. I know you guys are real excited about Schaub being healthy, your errrrr "solid" drafts and Gibbs. Listen thats great and I'm really happy for the Texans. I used my infinite NFL god knowledge and it told me that you guys will finish last in the AFC south...... again. It is not yet fact no matter how incredibly likely it may be. I'm just saying if you cannot compete inside your own division you cannot take that next step to becoming a playoff team.

To be honest I really didn't think we would do as well as we did. It was a pleasant surprise...lol. I think we will win 8 to 10 games this year. I don't live in fantasy land like so many of my peers.

Thank you. I agree entirely. I don't think the Texans will be the worst team in the league. You are right. If the Texans were in a few other divisions they would most likely be a playoff team. Texans win 8-10 games..... not much different than my prediction for my own team. I don't think either of us will be able to beat out the Jags or Colts. Even if the Cows play the Jags really well.....
