Now that we have signed a acutal viable QB who is proven in this league, how big of leash do we give Jake before we pull the plug. I say if we start out 1-4 or worse bye bye jake and insert Fitz!

Locker has a lot of rope, IMO. He obviously has to stay healthy and show more than he did last year but Fitz isn't going to make the Titans a Super Bowl contender any more than Hass would.

The real question is, IF Fitz were to become the starter at somepoint, how long will it take for TWW2 to start hating him as well?

Its hard to say flat out by 'games.' His performance is what will determine that.

For example, if we have (God forbid) still an atrocious OL & D and a bad run game as well, then it will be hard to judge. Or, if receivers are dropping passes left and right. What if our 'new' OC seems as bad as he was during his interm run after Palmer's dismissal, how can you judge?

But, if he is still darting passes all over the place and resembles that inconsistent 'Jake' we saw last year, then yeah, I'd be with you.

Regardless, of all that, his leash is pretty short - along with Munchak's and Co.

The job is his to lose. he just needs to prove that he deserves to be there. I think they're standing by their man at this point, but you'd better believe that if it goes south, they'll pull them.. because there are a lot of heads on the chopping block this season.

Didn't take long for this thread to start up. I was going to suggest a Sports book bet to predict how long it would take TWW2 to start a "how long before Jake gets pulled" thread lol

    Most predictable thread in awhile.

Jake does not have a leash, he's the starter all season even if he struggles, bet on that.

One thing is for sure. In the event Jake is booed he will not start crying and want to come out of the game.
