I think it is a dead ball if it hits the chiefs player not our guy
He was definitely being pushed. If you're engaged then the other defender is definitely pushing you. I still think it was a blown call. BTW I'm also pretty sure that you can challenge it as well.
Reynaud waited until the ball was a second from hitting Williams to signal everyone away, and his signal was pretty half-assed. You could tell he wasn't sure what to do.
There's nothing Williams could've done.
This, I agree with. He was pushed into the ball. But it was a pretty close call because the Chiefs player let go at the last second.
Reynaud was WAY late on giving the signal to get away. Williams doesn't have eyes in the back of his head. He couldn't see the ball. It's the returners job to give the "get out of the way signal" and Williams had no time to get out of the way.
Reynaud makes me SO nervous. I never felt that way with Mariani. I never felt for a second he wasn't going to catch the ball or make a bad decision.
Also, Munch talked about the rule a little bit on his TV show after the Texans game. He was discussing the play where they were trying to down it inside the one, the player threw it back to his teammate and Verner tried to touch/block the ball. Munch said that if the kicking team is the first to touch the ball then, it doesn't matter if it bounces off the receiving team or not, it's not a fumble.
ReyTARD is responsible for letting them know he is NOT returning the punt. He HAS to make his intentions known.
I would trade Kenny Britt for Travis Benjamin straight up...
This all day long.
Its a mute point. Titans coaches don't have the balls to put a playmaker like CJ or Wright back there ( would only make sense) instead we'll just slam CJ up the gut 20 times and let Reynald pin us deep/straight up cost us points. Next year guyz!
