I find it amusing how bitter Floyd Reese comes off whenever he talks about the Titans

I think he summed it up quite nicely. We are hurting on defense, and we don't have an offense that will help with time of possession, which will only keep them on the field longer, and make their stats look even worse. We made some nice draft picks, but this team probably won't be showing the chemistry it needs for a SB run for a few more years.

So what is Reese going to say positive? The offense, at least on paper lost two of the statistical leaders at WR and their 1200+ yard RB. Try and spin that in a positive way.

Reese is right on the money with his analysis. Our offense doesn't look to be putting up 30 points a game. Unless we can get a running game anything close to last year from our RBs our ability to control the clock is going to suffer. The defense is going to feel the heat because anytime we let a team get 20 or more points we are going to have a heck of a time on paper getting a win. Add in we also lost Pacman who certainly helped out FP on returns, scored occasionally on returns and will not be making any int returns either.

What the hell did he say?

The same things we might say. He didn't blame anyone for our 32nd ranked defense just pointed out that we were not very good. a fact.

Nothing bitter about reese at all.

The jags are a little bit scary to me if leftwich stays healthy(big if) and jones keeps improving. Too bad jones couldn't throw the ball well enough to be an nfl QB. That would be fun to see that 6'6 240 lb guy with sub 4.4 speed running all over the place.

does the man ever throw the ball???? every time i thought he was going to pass, he just took off and ran. its interesting to see that he got reception in a game, but does he have any completions??

    young54..

    Few..

He and eric crouch are 2 of the most talented runners ever seen in college football but they were not nfl caliber passers. Crouch won a heisman mainly with his legs in 01. He had 1200 yards rushing..

Matt Jones is a joke. He'd be a great QB if he could throw. And he'd be a great receiver if he could catch.
    Poor guy.

actually Im not sure, but it came from my hands on my keyboard one night... the point I was more so trying to point to is that everyone has a chance and a time to prove themselves. he was right and it seemingly hurts this team a little but we all have some sense of truth in our own head that our team is going to do great. Or do we? :bonk2:
