Another designer, so I'll give it to you straight the way I tell everyone in a similar situation:

If you truly believe in your brand, hire someone that knows what they're doing to execute it. A logo isn't something that should be done because you have photoshop, paint, and an idea of what you want.

The lettering alone with this logo has a ton of potential. You have p/d/d in the same logo. This thing should flow easy. Right now, the type doesn't match up on any version. It also looks pretty generic with no personality.

Even if it's 50-75 bucks you pay (that's what I charge friends with start-ups that don't have much to spend), it'll be worth it. Identity is the most important thing you have when you begin. If you don't look the part, people wont bite.

That said- the 5th one is the better of these.

Appreciate the honesty. These are only mocks and will come to life when the final decision is made.

I just wanted more of an idea on the font and style people more prefer.

When it comes to #5, what would make it come out a lot better than it is now?

I'd lighten up the green color to be a bit more fresh/bright. And then lighten up the grey more.

Have fun with the holes in the p and d's.

Or maybe overlap the d's... just something to make it a bit more unique and custom looking.

Just toying around for a few minutes, I get some stuff like this-

But I usually base a logo off the product itself. So without knowing what it's based on- that's tough. Though I'm also not big on logos that I can't tell what they're for on their own. (some subjects are tough though)

I like those designs, especially the last one.

Ay man, use the green and gray colors and I'll ask for the opinions on them. I'm not going to lie in that they look super sweet.

My girlfriend thinks the 3rd one is the best out of all the ones she has seen, including my ones.

Put your stamp on the 3rd logo and make it green and gray and I'll pay you to remove your stamp if I get good raves about it.
