They should be for him, he is a fat guy just waiting to pop out. His rookie year he reported to camp fat and out of shape and it pretty much cost us his whole season. He came to camp last year in acceptable shape and he had a pretty good season. Notice I said pretty good, not great, a great season would be a back that averages over 5 yards per carry. What are we going to do when (not if) he does it again, he has had trouble controlling his weight since he was in college. He doesn't have a very good work ethic or he wouldn't have reported to camp so out of shape.

A guy like that can't be trusted to be ready when camp opens and if he does it again it will be devistating to our offense.

Jamal Charles doesn't help with this since he will never be an every down back in the league but you are too stupid to actually read my post you prefer to look for the name of Texas players and just label me a homer.

Label me what you want, I have forgotten more about football then you will ever know. You see I actually played football in college, I was a fullback in college and until I tore up my knee was pretty good. I've been following this game since the 70's and I have seen a lot of guys come and go. I've seen guys like Lendale White before, his name was Craig Ironhead Haywood (rest in peace) who also ate himself out of the league.

I'm done worrying about what you and the Michigan homers are worried about none of us have a single bit of influence on who the Titans draft so I will just continue to follow my team and enjoy watching how guys from Texas are proving me right.

Austin bill, i assume that to get charles we have to use a 1st or either trade up with our 2nd so i don't want us to do that. I think rice is a better value with the 50th pick and jones can return kicks really well.

As for johnson i honestly can't think of many backs like him who are good in this league.

I don't think their are homers on this board. Instead fans of Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, etc. just think of the idea of players they have been watching over the past 3-4 years would like them to play for the Titans. So on mock drafts and other stuff they put their favorite players. I think this is a great advantage for us to have fans from everywhere to help to determine who is good and who is bad from observing that player over the past seasons.

^Exactly. I wasnt wanting us to take Leon Hall or Branch last year. We mostly just know who's solid on our squad because we're familiar with them.
Thats fine as long as you don't think every player on your fave team should be drafted in Rd 1. (ahem-bill)

I have said that there are two Texas players that are round 1 material. I haven't made any mention of ther players Now I have said that there are some good Longhorn players that are solid draft prospects in other rounds.

    Sweed - 1st
    Charles - 1st or 2nd
    Hills - 3rd
    Okam - 5th
    M Griffin - 5th
    Finley - 3rd or 4th
    Lokey - 6th - 7th
    Kelson - 6th - 7th
    Foster - 6th - 7th

Show where I have said anything else, and also keep in mind that that draft prospects rankings are pretty liquid and can change as scouts and coaching staffs continue to evalute them.

I have never changed my stance on what will best help the Titans and that is playmakers with lots and lots of speed and it just so happens that Texas has two guys that fit that bill.

we can't depend on chris henry yet. we need another back. quinton ganther is listed on the titans roster. i think he's underrated but i'd still like another back.
