If one of the Top running backs slips do we take a chance?

Are their anymore decent FA RB's? If not the Titans will have to draft one. Maybe not in the 1st or 2nd but maybe the first pick of day 2 in the draft.

 

That may be true on both counts.

But, if the Titans don't take a WR in the First Round it's going to render our QB useless.

 

OK.......then why are you lobbying for us to get him in round 1 or 2. Don't you think part time RB's should be taken later.

No one can deny that picking up Sweed, Jackson, or Manningham would make Vince a better QB. They are so much better than what we have. We have a bunch of high-school caliber WR's...none of which have contributed. Ealy? Davis? Mike Williams? Paul Williams? We seem to have this collection of useless receivers, I wonder when the trend will stop?

 

You can deny because they could be just like the rest of our group and end up a bust. Not saying our group is a bust but were talking about taking a WR round 1 because of where those guys are predicted. If they come in and end up a bust it doesn't help the cause. We need to hit gold with a WR this draft or Dinger needs to sprinkle his magic dust on one of our WR's.

 

I just want the best player available that will give us the biggest impact and Charles is a Reggie Bush type talent that can do a lot of things like be both a runningback and a receiver. He is not the best runningback nor the best receiver but he is damn good at both.

 

DUH. I think that DeShaun Jackson, Malcolm Kelly, Mario Manningham, Limas Sweed, etc.. are better than our current recievers. They're quicker, younger, and more eager to make a name for themselves.

 

if not, there looks to be good talent available in the 3rd-4th rounds (slaton / smith)
