I honestly think it wouldn't hurt to maybe draft AJ McCarron, or Maybe Mettenberger.

But in truth, I'd kill to see how Tyler Wilson could fit into our scheme, I really wanna see what he can do.

And what is the justification for that a-hole comment? I have defended black Qbs on this board many times who had some off season issues like Newton and Pryor.

 

Doesn't Mccarron most resemble Manning and Brady in terms of his accuracy, his ability to read defenses, his poise and attitude? No off the field issues at all. Great work ethic, he built his body up from 175 lbs to 215-220 in the weight room. Never got hurt, never missed a start in 3 years.

I know he played with a great team around him and may not have the ideal arm strength but if you want to hit the mother-lode with the next Tom Brady he would be the guy to look at.


If the uncertainty of a running QB scares you then Mccarron is the epitome of the classic pocket QB but not totally immobile either. At a full 6'4 he is not vertically challenged.

 

I've always liked McCarron and see him as an Andy Dalton. However, just the fact that he's an Alabama QB scares me, as of course he's had elite talent around him.

SB has one of the most negative views of Mccarron. They even question his accuracy which is a nonissue.

 

I guess that's kind of the point, if that's the worst view you can find - I take it as a positive.
