If the Titans spend money in FA I'd rather spend it on a guy that is proven rather than a guy they hope is a good WR if given more opportunities. I worry about bringing in a little speed demon who looked great as a 3rd WR on astroturf to be a #2 on natural grass. There's a reason he was looking to sign with Det or Min

I guess Drew Bennet will soon know how that feels, except he'll have a buck of greenbacks to 2keep him nice and comfy while on the bench, waiting to show that he's lost his case of the droppsies, especially since, they are going to more of a running game with Steven Jackson.

Curtis is looking for Drew Bennett-money (yes, I just said that). If we didn't pay our OWN guy that, why would we pay a stranger....?

    just food for thought

Who else is really out there? This isn't exactly a stellar FA class.

True, Curtis didn't have as much of an opportunity to show what he could do but I do find it interesting that although he played at St Louis, was seen by, coached by and evaluated by them for the last 3 years that they simply didn't think he was such a stud after all.
They did find Bennett to be a much better option and gave Bennett a real nice contract where apparently their intereset in Curtis is non existent.

    What does that tell you?

in order to obtain a trophy class WideOut we'll need to trade for one

I like the idea given the current market inflation to get a guy with a deal already in place for 3-4 years

Bongo's rumore of Darrell Jackson is interesting
not sure of the particulars of Jackson's current deal, but it's sure to be less expensive than one he would command were he a FA

A lot of people on this board were gaga for Wes Welker. Curtis is a better WR.

That Curtis got screwed by the new OC in St. Louis last year who though it'd be better to pad Isaac Bruce's HOF stats than continue to develop an emerging WR. Maybe.
