Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky The Colts have hardly been an imposing pass rush team this season. They rank 30th in the league in sacks per pass play. Twenty-nine teams have more than the Colts' 12 sacks and their total on defense is only one more than they've allowed on offense.

Those 12 sacks haven't come from a lot of different places: Dwight Freeney has five, Robert Mathis has five, Raheem Brock has one and Darrell Reid has one.

But out of the small total has come a ridiculous rate of big plays.

Defensive coaches all over the league don't just preach sacks, they preach sacks and strips. Take the quarterback down and knock the ball free.

Remarkably, the Colts have gotten the strip on half their sacks, though they've only managed to recover two of them. No other team has stripped the quarterback on more than two-thirds of its sacks.
