Interesting look at Palmers offense.

For years I've been saying we need to play C.J. similar to how the Eagles used to play Brian Westbrook, get the dude the ball in the flats and let him do what he does. I'd be running 6-7 screens a week to make sure this happens. Marshall Faulk used to kill defenses the same way, but for SOME reason we don't do this......

 

^^ In addition to CJ, Cook also creates a unique screen threat because of his size and speed. We should kill blitzing teams screens if they dare.

 

Yea, i remember last year when we ran a screen to scaife. I was like, WTF? Wheres he gonna go!? Cook can actually make some plays. I was reading his rookie report and they compared this guy to Calvin Johnson. AT TE!! Dude lol

 

CJ was an excellent reciever @ east carolina. Scaife on a screen was a joke, glad that crap is gone. I heard PAT Kerwain say that cook reminds him of jermicheal finley of GB.

 

I can't wait because we are going to get som PAYBACK on alot of your rivals this year. I feel that America will not take us seriously until week 2 when we smash the ravens. Fellow Titans, I THINK THAT WE ARE BUILDING SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YEARS TO COME! I just want the Dline to give me some more push up front, and we will be in the playoffs.

That was a Fisher thing. For some reason the guy loved running screens to our slowest players on the field.

Never understood it. Alge Crumpler getting screen passes... really? The Justin Gage, Scaife, etc.

 

CJ drops anything that's not a handoff... that's one reason we don't do it.

 

That's not true.He was bad at catching the ball in 09 but improved a lot last season.

I honestly think we couldn't run screens with VY because he didn't have touch and he would have dangerously floated screen attempts.
