Isn't that kinda like saying it's pointless to talk about the season until it's over?

Only "measureable" that truly doesn't work in Murray's favor is his height. His arm is plenty strong (not Kyle Boller strong, but where did that get him anyway?) and he has good mobility in the pocket and surprising speed in the open field.

The main positives for Murray is that he is technically sound (feet and arm motion), natural leader and smart. If I had to pick the QB in the draft most likely to be able to command an NFL offence, with audibles, adjustments and reading defences right off the bat, it would be Murray.

He has to be worked into the game. Some QBs need that first hit to get going, Jake cant afford that. Some can be worked in with by giving a couple of easy throws, Jake half the time will over shoot those, especially early. All that being said, I dont know how many remember or choose to forget, but McNair had his issues with accurracy early in his career. He missed high ALOT. Peeps can be blind to that if they want to, but its true. More worried about Jakes ability to be on the field, than anything. Someone on a higher pay grade can figure out how to settle him down. If he can stay on the field, I have all the confidence in his ability to play the game. He will probably strive elsewhere though, knowing our luck.

Must have been watching different Jake Locker's...He had 1 really good game, which he couldn't even stay healthy in, and the rest he was the same old QB that can't complete a majority of his passes, can't score points, and can't win games.

    Are you that ignorant?

In the 6 games that Locker started and had at least 20 pass attempts we were 4-2 and his lowest comp rate was 55%. So nothing you said was true.

We were 3-1 in the first 4 games and Jake had the 6th best QBR in the whole league.

People see Jake pass for 125 and think he played badly. He was 4-2 in games that he started and finished. Jake stayed within the plan and he and his team were successful. The Jets game happens to be the one they asked him to throw alot in. If he is healthy, I would be fine with him, but he needs more milk or something. His inability to do so is my only gripe with the guy.

Umm it's a little different when discussing Brady and Manning.

A head coach's success or failure rate often relies on his QB. A new head coach who had no part in drafting Jake Locker may not be convinced Jake is the guy for the betterment of his HC job... can you blame him?

Brady or Manning on the other hand...
