Is the NFL in decline?

This is a great post and I agree with it all.

I did it one time...it was glorious.

 

College will die first. They are coming for it. Look at the culture on your major college campuses.

Soccer will grow but I don't see the MLS surpassing the NFL.

It might grow to maybe NBA level, MLB, NHL level probably more likely.

NASCAR is in decline though and rightfully so. It is about as legitimate as professional wrestling.

The NFL is a business and will evolve to meet the wants of the fans. They might be slow to do so right now but I fully expect them to figure it out.

Baseball use to be America's game but scandal and strikes rocked the league and they lost a lot of their footing in American culture.

The same could happen to the NFL if they continue to push back against their own fans.


Fix the league?

Drop the politics. Sit player like Kaep because the people beating his drum are not the paying NFL fans.

Drop the exclusive streaming rights to like DirecTV, make the out of market games easily accessible.

Take off the helmets and shoulder pads. The game speeds up, gets safer.

MLS sucks. All about the big 4 Eurotrash leagues.

 

Any game where you can only use half your body is really stupid. I have never been able to understand the appeal of soccer. Rugby I have played and still love.

 

the appeal is that its a quick and easy game to pick-up

Im not much of a soccer fan, but thats mainly due to there being better things available to me

 

I don't watch EuroTrash ball.

I'll watch the MLS. ATL starts next season. I'll be there.

The only international sport worth watching is Formula 1 because they are the very best on the planet and there is an American team HAAS mu****in F1.
