First I'll say-
No, you didn't.
And then I'll say-
No, you probably aren't.
I'm not trying to brag either... just brought it up since you did. And no one believes me either until they actually see me run.
I have a friend who played football at Mississippi State. His 40 time was 4.8, and I'm much faster than him, so I know I'm still fast... just not as fast as I used to be.
Yes I did. Anyone can run any time when you have a coach holding a stopwatch. I seriously was clocked at a 4.41 when I was 14.
For instance, there was this freshman named Bryan Sears that went to High School in Savannah, GA who ran a 10.12 in the 100 meters at this one track meet, then the following week ran a 10.09. The guy was 6'4" 230 pounds as a freshman in High School. Everyone thought he would make the Olympics due to how fast he was. He runs these crazy times hand timed, but gets to the State meet (where you are electronically timed) and runs a 10.77.
So therefore, you can believe any time when it comes to hand time. So when folks tell me they run this or that time, I usually just blow it off.
I'll race you in the parking lot next season before or after a game. You better pick before, because I tend to run way faster these days when I get some liquor in me.
Ok, well you may have been clocked at 4.41. You didn't run one though.
Not many high schoolers running under a 4.4... even hand-timed.
I had a consistent 4.55 and there was only 1 kid beating that in our area-- he was shooting for Olympics at the time, also.
You said it, not me.
Sounds like a deal to me... but I'll take my chances and pick the after. I'm not a morning person.
Well I've never run a 40 in my life. Top that show offs!
i still say we should have a GoTitans.com field day.
