There's so many "what-ifs" surrounding this franchise. If one thing goes another way we could've had a dynasty in the early 2000s.

Examples:
- Ray Lewis goes to prison where he should be
- Peyton Manning goes to an NFC team
- We draft Moss instead of Dyson
- Put more faith in #9 in earlier seasons before it's too late
- Pay Gregg Williams $100mil to stay rather than leave for Buffalo
- Drew Bennett catches that 4th and 10 lob in New England (or the refs call interference like they should have)

Add Ravens intentionally injuring CJ in 2008. He was shredding that entire defense that game. We beat the ravens and no one stands in between titans and trophy

Well, yea... I was talking about us being a dynasty in the early 2000's because we had pretty solid teams from 99-03.

There were about 6 "what-ifs" in the 2009 Ravens playoff game...
- CJ doesn't get hurt
- We take the wind in 4th quarter
- Alge doesn't fumble
- LenDale doesn't fumble
- Refs call the delay of game
- Blitz rookie QB

If just one of those things happened, we go all the way.

People still consider the patriots a dynasty and they haven't won anything in what? 6-7 seasons now? If we were a dynasty then.. and the 08 season played out like it did... we would be the patriots and fisher would be belichick. The thing about fisherball is that there was little to no margin for error. To beat a good football team using fisherball, you had to play flawless. Its not that I don't think its possible, its just that I dont think its possible with some of the talent or lack there of thats been brought in.

Well the Patriots do have the best QB in the game. And we know this is a QB's league. So as long as Brady is producing, most will favor them over other teams. That's why people still say that team is a dynasty. Even with completely new players, Brady keeps it all together.

Over the entire draft: absolutely, but out of the first round you'd hope 1/2, at least 1/3 would turn out to be solid players.

The 2003 draft broke us as a team because there were great players coming out of the damn woodwork and we didn't get one. Since we already had our stud CB in woolfolk:sad2: what would be the reason to draft a Terrance Mcgee or an Asante Samuel later on?
