Really? I didn't know that.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but from what I understand is that Futurama isn't back in season form. It's a movie type deal thats chopped in to a few episodes to air.
Or at least that's what I told. Pretty crappy if that's the case.
I know they were meant to be releasing 4 movies, I only know if one that has been released. So the others may well be what you are saying.
^yep. I think that's what it was. The other movies will be chopped, and that's the season. I need to ask my friend again. He's a huge Futurama fan and was bummed about it.
"The series was revived in 2007 as four straight-to-DVD films that will be split into a sixteen-episode fifth season. Comedy Central has entered into an agreement with 20th Century Fox Television to syndicate the existing episodes and air the films as new episodes in an episodic format. Comedy Central began airing Futurama on January 2, 2008, with new episodes starting on March 23, 2008."
It's not that bad, it's still new stuff.
I still haven't watch Benders Big Score yet.
same here, bought it only to discover that it was really s5d1.
still new content though - yeah!
My understanding is that Bender's Big Score (which is brilliant) IS the movie that will be chopped up into episodes...
Maybe, though there isn't enough of that movie for it to be 15 episodes or however many they are contracted for.
what a great show, glad to see it came back
