Air Canada is an insecure little Cow fan. Much like yourself.
I'm not the one worried about what fans of a team in rebuild mode are saying about my team.
I love the fact that the Texans fans are already expecting a Super Bowl. That means they'll just end up heartbroken. We've experienced it too.
I have admitted the Texans are better than the Titans multiple times... so many times. I mention it all the time. I said we'd lose today. I said the Texans are a top 5 team this past week. Just because I don't view them as the best team in the NFL doesn't make me a hater.
Why would I blow my brains out over another team winning a Super Bowl when I could just get hammered? I'd definitely be pissed if the Texans won a Super Bowl, but it ain't happening this year.
Remember that idiot who got a tattoo that said "Houston Texans Super Bowl SLVI Champions"... I wonder if he killed himself.
I think it's hilarious that Texans fans keep thinking Super Bowl. Just wait until you play a good team.
In our 10-0 year, I held out Super Bowl hopes all the way until we raped the Steelers 31-14. No, we didn't win. But we were unarguably the best regular season team - which goes to show you that it doesn't matter what you do in the regular season. It matters what you do come January. And all I know is that the Texans have only played in two playoff games in the history of their franchise.
Don't forget when you started 2-0 (or 2-1 or whatever it was) in 2010 when you came up #1 or #2 in the power rankings. How'd that season turn out? Oh yea... 6-10. Almost forgot how quick a #1 ranked team can fall.
What happened to the Bills last year after they started 4-1 with a big win against the Pats? They disappeared.
What happened to the 2009 6-0 Broncos? They finished 8-8.
It's a long season. Don't get cocky.
This is why some Texan fans are annoying... there are too many getting cocky. There are some realists out there, of course... but, it seems the more vocal ones are the cocky ones.
The Post-Season will be disappointing to many Texan fans, I believe. Gut feeling I have. Like RSB said about our 10-0 season - I didn't get my hopes up about a Super Bowl... had a gut feeling.
I'm not predicting an unbeaten run to the Super Bowl. Before the season I figured 11-5 and a loss in the AFC title game. Now I suspect it will be 12-4 or 13-3 with a SB appearance.
Ravens lost to the Eagles and had an unconvincing win against a pathetic Browns team. Patriots lost to AZ. Texans have a much better D than the Cards and certainly a better offense. If they can do it so can the Texans.
If an injury depleted Texans team can nearly beat the Ravens in Baltimore with a 3rd string rookie QB, I feel good about their chances of doing it with Schaub.
And the Titans beat Detroit... The Colts beat Minnesota and the Jags almost pulled it off... then Minnesota turns around and defeats Detroit.
It doesn't matter... too many variables. Texans can suck against the Colts or Jax this season.
Simply can't base a win/loss on what you see one week versus the next... crazy Sundays.
Pats and Saints got beat by the Browns in 2010.
Saints got beat by the Rams last year.
49ers got beat by the Cardinals last year.
Ravens got beat by us, the Cards, and some other crappy team last year.
Pats got beat by the Bills last year.
The Texans are legit. Anyone who doesn't see that is just being a Titans homer.
Elite defense - Top 3
Elite run game with Arian, Tate, and an impressive OL
Playmakers - Andre, Arian, Watt, Cushing, etc
Biggest question is can Schuab stay productive and can they win the big games? Left to be determined. There's alot of average QBs this year in college, if i'm the Texans i'm looking to take a QB in the 1st-3rd round.
