[IMG]Wade Todd Wade is a few weeks away. The Jaguars are willing to wait.
A day after adding two veteran interior linemen to replenish depth, Jacksonville put guard Maurice Williams (biceps) on IR and signed Wade, who participated in a part of practice.
"Todd has a situation where he's got an ankle that'll be a little while, we understand that, but it was an opportunity to acquire him ahead of some other teams that were waiting on the ankle to heal up," Jack Del Rio said. "So we understand he has that but we're going to work him as we can into practice."
    The Jaguars' info on Wade:
Wade, 31, spent the past two seasons with the Washington Redskins before being released in final cuts on Aug. 30. The 6-8, 314-pound offensive lineman has started 96 of his 99 career games while with Miami (2000-03), Houston (2004-05) and Washington (2006-08). The ninth-year veteran was originally selected by Miami in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Mississippi. He will wear jersey No. 70.
He's played predominantly right tackle and will likely battle with Charles Spencer, also coming off an injury, to be the primary backup to starting tackles Khalif Barnes and Tony Pashos.
The Jaguars now have backups starting at both guard spots and center, with only center Brad Meester in line to return this year. Without surprisingly good performances from guards Uche Nwaneri and Tutan Reyes, the Jaguars high hopes could be undone by their offensive line injuries.
