Its actually more difficult than that. We have to beat NE. And then we sit and wait. Wait for the Chiefs to beat thier division rivals the Broncos... who are like 2 and 7 over thier last 9 games, then hopefully the Bengals still want to lock up the 3rd seed and beat the Jets in primetime next Sunday night.

Yes, definitely a long shot. But not impossible.

    "The playoffs are not impossible!"

The Texans' new rallying cry. Too bad it'll only last a week.

Congrats on finally being able to talk some real smack.

Seriously tho...The Texans have statistically one of the best qb's in the league and the best wr in the league. Why the hell are the Playoffs still so damn hard for yall?

We have the youngest starting lineup in the league... at least we were earlier this year. Which has resulted in some very inconsistent play.... not surprisingly. When we put a complete game together, we are extremely tough to beat. We have a ton of talent in place, but we play only one half a game it seems. Inconsistency should theoretically get better with age and experience.

The Defense just started to come around this year... FINALLY. But we still need a piece or two. Meanwhile on O, the running game went to complete e for us this year. We were #10 in ypc last year in Alex Gibbs first season with us. Losing two starting O-linemen on an already thin line didnt help. This will be a huge area of focus for us in the offseason. Our O can still move the ball, but the system is predicated on the play action, etc.

Also, we play in one of the toughest divisions in the league... and our historically reliable kicker went to e on us as well missing two last second kicks.

Since you are so certain, I would bet the farm on the Pats if I were you. The current line has the Texans favored by 8 right now. Get after it!

And I remember a certain coach named Jeff Fisher who went 1-5, 7-9, 8-8, 8-8, AND ONCE AGAIN 8-8.... before making the playoffs.

    Kubiak will have gone 6-10, 8-8, 8-8.... and 9-7???

This team is not the same team you were used to beating up on all those years.... but you already knew that.

No, we were good back then.

We suck now and can still beat you up.

It's tough to get past 8-8 when none of your Running Backs can hold on to the ball. :ha:

Considering that Denver destroyed the Chiefs a couple weeks ago? And then went into Philly and almost beat the Eagles?

Get your head out of the gutter. A slim chance at the playoffs in your 9th season and it all goes to your head.

    Baltimore will win.
    Denver will win.

^thats all that needs to happen, and it will. Book it Dan-o.
