Deal is, Collins is actually wanting to be promised the job. I think most other QBs would understand that they'll have to come in and earn it.
Collins has been hitting the bottle again if he thinks he was impressive enough this year to be promised the job for next.

No way Fisher guarantees Collins is the #1. Think Young is going to work hard this offseason if he knows the best he is getting is a backup role? Fisher's style is to tell the media Collins is his QB but that won't mean Young can't win the job.

The Titans will give Collins a two-year deal. If Young wins the QB spot back in camp, Collins retires which is why they want to sign Simms too.

Young can work all he wants. He doesn't have the God given ability to play QB in the NFL.

Kerry played behind the best line of his career which is straight up the reason for fewer turnovers. If the line stays intact the ints will stay in this year's range.
The addition of a sure-handed speedster WR wouldn't hurt.

Vince played behind this line too.. to a lesser result.

The OL was outstanding for much of the season. Maybe the Dinger influence is felt here too as Collins would throw the football away. Having only seen him play a few times before he was a Titan, I don't know if that has been the case in year's past.

I do know the Raiders needed him to throw the football more since they didn't have a running game and were often playing from behind. I think it leads to taking more risks which equal picks.

I don't think we can judge Young's play behind this OL. There just wasn't enough snaps to know. I do know Young had a Colt in his face for most of his work in that game.

This whole thread is like arguing over which dead skunk smells better. Of course, the dead skunk that you've known the longest will smell better than the rest.
