Titans quarterback Jake Locker left little doubt about his playing status for Sunday’s game at San Diego. Just three days after separating his left shoulder in the season opener against New England, Locker practiced and said he plans on playing against the Chargers.

“It felt great,” Locker said Wednesday. “I was able to do everything I wanted to, and probably would’ve been able to do more. We kind of had a schedule we made earlier in the week. My (workload) will probably increase as the week goes.”

Matt Hasselbeck, Rusty Smith and Locker all took reps on Wednesday. Locker, however, said the pain has eased in the past few days. He’s not even sure he’ll wear a brace under his shoulder pads, something he did on Sunday after being injured. Locker didn’t return in the fourth quarter of the 34-13 loss, although coach Mike Munchak said the second-year pro could have.

On Wednesday, Munchak said Locker threw the ball well in practice. The focus now is on the Chargers, who have some similarity on defense with the Patriots.

“They probably pressure more, they probably want to attack the line of scrimmage more with blitzes and things like that in their first- and second-down packages,” Munchak said. “They have some good rushers, good linebackers, good athletes, which means they have a lot of speed on the field.”

Jake is tough as nails. If this were VY there would be no doubt he'd be out.

Its only VY-esque if he doesnt learn from his mistakes. It was his 1st start guys. Come on. I didnt like the play either but Jake Locker isnt VY. VY had those phantom injuries. Jake wants to hit somebody. VY was an athlete, Jake is a football player.

Having said that his drive to win and his toughness IS very McNair-esque. I will take that everday and twice on Sunday.
