James Casey visiting Titans

    Per Jim Wyatt, James Casey is going to be visiting Tennessee. He has about 6-8 trips already lined up so might not even make it here. I believe he has already been to 3 and we are one away. He would be a good replacement for Taylor Thompson or Craig Stevens. He is a solid blocker, can play FB and can catch when ask (They don't ask a lot). The draft TE pool is really bad so just about every decent FA TE will get over paid. Wouldn't mind this signing at all as long as it is not over 2.5-3 million a year.

    This would be a quality depth signing, guys not good or bad, which for a February visit isn't something to complain about.

    If we signed him for around what Stevens got, wouldn't be mad. Could use a true #2 TE.

    Didn't wanna go here, but I will,

    we still have Taylor Thompson, by this point in his career he's a possible sleeper at TE. Before getting hurt he looked fairly good out there last year.

    Dont take this as an endorsement tho, never been a fan of that pick

    Thats true, and I agree, but TT shouldn't be given any spot right now. If he can't beat out a#2 tight end, then I don't want him taking Walker's spot if he goes down.

    Quality depth has been an issue with this team for far too long.

    I think TT84 definitely deserves more of shot this season, if he does nothing, no love lost. I personally think that he can be a really good TE for us.

    Either way we should take a flyer on Casey. If we sign him and TT breaks out we have quality depth and maybe trade bait.

    I hope we dont stop at Casey and go into the year with Walker, him and Thompson, we can absolutely do better than Casey and Thompson for depth. Theyre at best average players.
