The hit to the team is that you didn't get to take another player in the 6th round that you really liked. That's not nothing.

It's probably safe to say that every 6th round pick was given a higher grade (probably 3rd or 4th round) by the team that took him.

You would have to really feel like Jackson was over his problems for it to be worth the risk in taking him. You don't just say "what the hell" and take a guy in the 6th round (or any round) unless you really believe he has a shot to be great.

I am pretty sure we are not doomed if we miss on a 6th round pick.

^You're reaching a little bit there.

The whole draft is one big risk because you never know what you're going to get if it's in the 6th round or even the 1st. I'll take Jackson who could have been a much higher pick than some other guy.

I think we need to sign Pacman to be the NB replacing Finny and then we can bring in Jackson to replace Griffin. Let Pacman take Jackson under his wing and show him how to really make it rain.

If you think the guy can get his head on straight then you draft him where you think his talent places him. If you don't feel comfortable with where his head is then you pass on him.

Every draft pick is risk. I have no problem with taking a risk on a guy who could have major upside.

Ok, so we didn't go defense in the first round, and while saftey is a need, DT,DE and CB are bigger ones.

Janzen Jackson, 6th round, make it happen FO.

To recap, Eric Berry described him as the best athlete on the team Janzen's freshman year (Berry's junior).

    -Hits like a hammer(+)

    - Has taken transforming into a projectile to an artform.(+)(-)

    -Good ball instincts (+)

-Average to a little below average 40 for a free saftey (-)

    - Got in various trouble at UT (-)

    - Been quiet for about a year and a half at "Middle of Nowhere State"(+)

Not a Pacman by any means. Having met him once and been on campus with him; by all accounts he is a quiet guy on and off the field who still manages to find trouble. The point being, he won't be a distraction; IMO, but, that is just my slightly educated opinion.
