Looks like Jared Allen is looking to get out of KC.

The Titans have money and desperately need a DE.

I would trade KC our 1st rounder for this guy in a heartbeat, get a pro-bowl caliber player and fill a huge need.

 

For anybody actually making a comment that Allen is not 1st round good you would have to drinking some pretty stiff stuff. The guy is well worth the #19 pick in the draft, without question.

As to the 1st and 3rd round pick mentioned yes that is what his tender would bring however if the Chiefs wanted to they could trade him for only a first roundner or a 1st and something less than a 3rd. The Chiefs might already know they will not want to or be able to sign him next year and might consider moving him while they can get some value. Next year they get nothing if he walks.

Considering even in a draft that looks decent for DEs there still is a very high probability that even a DE taken at #19 will never be the player this guy is. Again, for some ridiculous reason we have posters putting way to much value on draft picks, especially one at #19 when history plainly proves there is less than a 50/50 chance a DE picked at that spot will even be a long term starter. Allen is a pro-bowl level talent and he plays a position we desperately need to make our defense better. He would help our defense more than any other player we could sign, averages 9+ sacks a year and is decent against the run. Paired with KVB, a similar player we just upgraded our DL tremendously. Despite what was reported I would be making a push for this guy just to see what happened.
