He's gone. Guaranteed. It's very, very clear that there's bad blood between him and the Titans.
I KNOW he will probably go on and put up some numbers, but it is clear it was never going to be with us.
He was in my tournament bracket last year and now I lost a friend :(
lol jk I'll find a new Titan
Ok so 3rd round comp pick 2014?
This puts another pass catcher either WR or TE up on our radar again guys. We may make a move as early as the second round depending on how the rest of free agency goes.
Apparently we're still interested in retaining him long term, but are nowhere close to an agreement. I'm sure he's a goner.
At this point, we should just cut ties with him. He obviously has no desire to be playing in a Titans uniform next season, so why force him to?
He never reached the potential he was expected to (regardless of if it was our fault or his)
We should let him walk and sign a guy like Martellus Bennett who would be cheaper than the tag and could produce similar results.
i understand that Cook is frustrated with his "under-utilization" but he's just gonna be even less happy if we tag him and become a cancer in the locker room. Pay the guys who WANT to be in tennessee, and take the extra cash to beef up our OL, DL, or DBs, or sign other guys to longer contracts
Curious: could we tag & trade Cook?
Jared Cook already shopping his services
Some good TEs in this class guys. I'm excited to be rid of inconsistency and whiny teammate.
