So he's slow, runs poor routes, can't jump very well, and can't get off press coverage. So how, precisely, did he make just about every top DB who went against him look like an utter buffoon? Only one was able to do much, and that wasnt even when Jarrett was healthy. What did he do well enough to pull the pants down on 1st and 2nd round CBs? I am dying to know.

You guys are really looking wayyyyy too hard at these workouts. The last time I checked, football games weren't won based on 40, cone or shuttle times. Go watch game film and tell me hes not a top 3 WR. He makes the plays and that's what you want in a WR.

40 times do not equate to NFL success.

Very similar to Wonderlic scores do not predeict NFL success.

Look at the football player and not the track star in your future analysis. Include his times, but don't judge him solely on them. You'll look a lot smarter and insightful.

Mannn someone's using my Mike Williams analogy. But again, 40 times are overrated and not really even necessary.

Guys, I'm less concerned about DJ's 40 time than I am his difficulty in getting off the line. I would love for it not to be so, or be proven wrong, but it's not going away.

And Chris Houston shut him down. He has difficulty against press coverage DBs. He has marvelous hands, but he's weak. Give me Bowe or Meachem, or even Jason Hill, preferably, before Jarrett.

I'm not going to be a sour puss if we end up with Jarrett or Rice -- unless we draft either in round one...but I'll get over it...I think.

I'd put up less argument overall about taking Ginn in round one.

    Good point...

If he were stronger like bowe and had a comparable 10 yard time to meachum we could say he will be blowing off the line and getting into his route quickly which is the most important thing.
