There has been a lot of talk about Murlarkey as HC...but Michaels will now be calling the plays on Sunday.

His title has always been OC but I always got the feeling that he was more of a golpher under Whiz and didn't have much say in play calling or personell packages.

This will be his first time ever calling plays in the NFL...So it could be interesting. He's worked with Whiz for a while, hopefully he has his own thoughts on play calling etc though.

So far Murlarkey has switched some things up on the oline, practiced differently and handed play calling to the OC so there's actually a lot changing with the team. Let's hope that those changes are reflected on the field.

 

Can it get much worse than Whiz?

 

I wasn't questioning his knowledge. I just feel that he was under Whiz and didn't get the opportunity to have a lot of input. He sure seems to know what's going on. And I'm sure he sits there and coordinates in his head as a he plays out. He's getting the opportunity to put it out on the field now. Hopefully his plan works better than Whiz.

He got to sit back and see what did and didn't work and can add his own wrinkles in also. Whiz didn't like to adapt, hopefully Michael adapts to what works and what doesn't better. I'm excited and hopeful, just because it isn't Whiz.

 

You do know that he was calling the plays in TN, right?

I know he was known as a good OC but the way he used this roster was NOT good and that's a large part of play calling.
