Jeff Fisher season ending Press Confrence

Dunno. I saw clips of one where he said:

"well. We got in to the playoffs. That was our goal. To get in."

which pretty much pissed me off. He's the only coach that'd say his goal was to get in the playoffs, so getting humiliated in them is fine, because Mission accomplished by getting in!

They should have the video of this up by tomorrow afternoon. Fisher admits we need players who can score touchdowns, and is going to address the O.

 

Reading into it (you have to with Fish)....

1. We'll try to get some playmakers

2. He wants to keep many FA's here

3. Sounds like Benji is gone

4. Sounds like he's ready to just hand the MLB job over to Fowler

5. I'll be more surprised if Pac is a Titan next year than if he's not

6. Not looking good for Givens

7. LW needs to work harder this offseason

8. Brown is gone and we'll get another player....but sounds like he'll see what LW and CH have for next year

9. Not too high on Mike Williams....but he loves avvie's MW sig pic

10. kinda vague on the TE position

 

Fowler is Lamont Thompson part 4. Fisher is blind as a bat with evaluating talent. He has to be able to see that Tulluch is better by leaps and bounds, but will do everything he can to keep him on the sidelines.

That's why this team wont get any better. Because Fisher would rather play a guy he likes, than a guy that's better.

 

I'm VERY encouraged by his comments on Chris Hope.

It’s a process, and he improved, certainly, from this year to last year. There is still room for improvement. That’s not a criticism, that’s a positive. He quarterbacked this team and got us into the playoffs. He can still improve, provided we improve the players around him."

Sounds like he agrees with most posters on this board...

 

Hopefully this means we might spend some money and get a couple really speedy receivers. I hope we get a little more depth for the D Line...
also a top notch returner other than Pacman.

That right there makes this season worth it. Thank god we wont lose Hope
