Jets tell Darrelle Revis they’re releasing him

If Revis came cheap..maybe...But I think his reputation is greater than his play right now.
Plus the charges against him may turn some teams off.

 

Guy can't run, he's done as a CB1

 

He probably is done as a 1 but as a cheap vet he would be a decent 2.
Not saying I want to sign him but someone will for his experience and vet presence.

 

I wouldn't even want him as that, maybe a nickle role where he's playing 60-70% of the plays could work tho

 

Probaly done as a CB2 at this point as well. There are way better players in FA to focus on then the husk of what use to be Revis.

 

He is about to turn in to Nick Harper... revis was getting burned last year on the go routes.

 

Yeah, personally I don't think we need him. I'd rather go after a young group of Bouye and Gilmore and rookies

 

this is the perfect case of "wow he's a big name let's sign him!"

All day all I've heard on he radio and elsewhere is how much his play has fallen off a cliff since the injury and has pretty much nothing left in the tank. He couldn't cover anyone last year and now all of the sudden he's cut and since he's a "name" it's time to get all giddy ...
