Costco pays really good money for retail work and say it works in the long run.

I've been in distribution and manufacturing for 10+ years, long enough to know that the the companies that pay low wages for physical labor intensive jobs and long hours have huge turnover numbers because of employees laying out and just walking out on the job. This is either because they are very lazy or they end up feeling it's not worth it.

Low wages means no commitment on either side.
The employee has more to lose though because job hopping stays on their work record.

I don't personally, but if it is a warehouse hire the WH manager might.
All a previous employer is supposed to legally provide is dates of employment and the answer to the question "would you rehire them" - but they can't (or are not supposed to) say why.
I honestly get the best insight about a hire from their social media activity. If they are an idiot it will be reflected there.

SO instead of creating a new thread I'm just going to piggyback off Cruds thread. So I have a new job that starts 2 weeks from today on the 17th, problem is I was let go of my old job 2 weeks early. Does anyone need any help for the next 2 weeks? Inbox me.

Everyone knows you're supposed to deactivate all social media accounts while looking for a job. After getting hired you make that **** private, if you even want to re-activate it at all.

I ended the death grip of FB a few weeks ago. I have a twitter account that I just follow news outlets/sports organizations, no tweeting. No IG or Pinterest or whatever the kids are using these days.

    Couldn't be happier.
