ok so then whats rodgers getting? and whats rg3 getting? wilson? dalton? the next key to championship is having a game manager qb because having an elite qb will totally handicap your team financially. this will get ridiculous if flaccos bout to be the highest paid qb ever feel same if harvin is given calvin money

He's definitely not an elite QB.

He may be the luckiest QB in the NFL though... I'm not sure which is best to be.

I've never seen him as more than an average QB but he definitely stepped his game up this postseason and deserves every penny he gets.

That said though, F*** the Ravens!

They'll regret that contract in a couple years.

He's not worth this at all. That said, it handicaps the Ravens so I hope he gets that much. **** the ravens

Joe Flacco is a legit QB, not elite, but legit.

With that said; HELLLL NO he isn't worth all that money.

Being realistic here, I'd pay him maybe $13M/yr which puts him in line with Eli Manning (also another good QB who's been lucky)

Perfect comparison. He's good not great but the dude has put together some really solid games and won the big ones.

im not sure why flacco doesnt take notes from brady and take a discount in order to help his team...they are going to lose arguably one of their 2 best defensive players in kruger along with reed, and thats only the start....oh well though i suppose

Gained a lot of respect for Brady after he did that. And I heard Damien Woody try to say Brady didn't take a pay cut.

Well, while that is technically true, he settled for FAR less money than he could have got.

For his final three years under contract, he will make $27M (or $9M a season). That is literally less than half what Brees, Peyton, and Flacco will be making, and anyone can tell you that Brady is the best of that bunch.

Lost all respect for Brees last year. Yea, he made a good business move, but he screwed the team and the city, and they won't even sniff a Super Bowl again, unless he does what Brady did.

And $9M is still a **** ton of money. People (who already have tens of millions of dollars) need to swallow their pride and take less money to help their teams out if they're really about the team.

But Brees is a douche, and that's a fact. Brady somehow has evaded douche status in my eyes.
