Joe Rogan calls out Carlos Mencia

    Mencia has been hated inside the world of stand-up for stealing other comedians material for ages. Joe Rogan has been one of his most vociferous critics. Last weekend Rogan confronted the stealing hack Mencia at the Comedy Store. It's frickin' brilliant.

    In case you're familiar Rogan only through Fear Factor. He's a wicked stand-up.

    I hate Carlos Mencia's schtick. Always have. It's basically a known fact, through-out the comedy ladder, that he's a CONSISTANT theif of other people's material. The fact that he's been caught lying by Rogan and others ON TAPE, punched out by George Lopez, and changed his name (he's actually of German, Hondorian descent) make him equally pathetic.

    The next time you have the opportunity to watch Carlos do stand-up, play the Carlos Mencia drinking game.

    When Carlos says "Beaner", Drink!

    When Carlos says "Chink", Drink!

    When Carlos says "Cracker", Drink!

    When Carlos makes a joke involving black people and chicken, Drink!

    When Carlos does an impression of a mentally challenged person (way to take them down a peg), Drink!

    When Carlos runs around the stage screaming like an idiot, Drink!

    When Carlos takes an ordinary situation, like buying stamps or riding a bike, and somehow turns it into a racial joke, Drink!

    When Carlos says; "what? I said it!", "lighten up" or "take a joke!" or makes any other comment about how edgy he is, Drink!

    When Carlos does any accent of any race, Drink!

    When Carlos mentions his “Mexican heritage”, Drink!






    You should be drunk by the end of his first joke.

    For us old timers who follow standup, it's amazing the influence many of the old comics have on guys I see on HBO and Comedy Central.

    Carlos Mencia isn't doing anything more original than what Don Rickles did 30 years ago.

    Besides being unoriginal, add to that Mencia is ripping off the bits and the guy will be history soon enough.

    Based on the headlines I've read on Digg, where this has gotten a fair bit off attention, Rogan's agent left him (he was also Mencia's agent) and Rogan was banned from the comedy club.

    That said, Rogan is right...
