I've thrown some also and had plenty thrown at me, but Andre took it to a whole another level. Although, I'm ok with just a fine as long as Finny gets similar.

I think Finny should be fined, but I'd understand and condone him getting suspended.

If AJ doesn't get suspended, then it will be an injustice. Not because Finny is a Titan, but because it's advocating that you can actually throw fists at a helmet-less player if you're a 1st time offender.

What if Finny got knocked out? Got a concussion? Would it still be a non issue for AJ then?

This wasn't like some sort of shoving match that players usually get into, AJ was for all intents and purposes, street fighting Finny.

One punch, I could say that he lost his cool, but three punches, his intention was to do physical harm to Finny.

He should be suspended at least 1-2 games. A simple fine isn't going to hurt AJ's wallet whatsoever.

You cannot fine a player for being a short little a-hole, you can and should fine and suspend the guy who threw the punches.

It is crazy the way the league handles it, they punish the result and not the action. If one of those punches had landed and KO'ed Finnegan in a scary way then AJ would probably be out for the season, but since they did not land clean it is no big deal....

Pushing, shoving, smacking, hitting sure...but when you have someone on the ground throwing punches, real punches, to a player w/o a helmet on you have problems. As a spectator it was fun to watch...but if the league wants to look legit and not biased on fines and punishment, AJ should be out next week, and probably Finn too ONLY because he has been warned that he could be suspended.

He definitely did NOT rip off Andre's helmet first. And they both instigated it.
And I'm not being blind with bias--Cortland isn't innocent either. I just don't think Andre is any less guilty.

I can't believe some of you are advocating AJ's behavior.

Some of you are basically saying that if you mouth off to me and you have a history of getting under peoples skin, then it's okay if I punch you in the face 3 times.

This wouldn't fly in the real world. So why is it okay if it's a couple of NFL players?

It doesn't matter the history someone has, nothing anyone says can force me to hit someone else. Doing otherwise would be a conscious decision to cause physical harm to another person.

Innagan was warned repeatedly throughout the year. AJ...Nope!!!
Innagan started the AJ finished it!
Innagan deserves at least a one game suspension.
AJ got what a player who never had a prob in the NFL....a fine.
Innagan is a repeat offender needs to be suspended for sure.

Why do you keep obnoxiously misspelling his name? Am I missing something?

Oh and your argument is ridiculous. If Andre isn't suspended Finnegan shouldn't be. Period.

I can't believe some of you are giving Finnegan a pass! The dude is a grade A clown, regularly getting cheap shots in and known as one of the dirtiest players in the league.

LOL, Andre barely tugged on Finnegan's helmet, maybe the guy needs a little velcro on the inside of his helmet to stick it to his head or something. On the other hand, Finnegan had to RIP AJ's helmet off, and I am actually kid of surprised he didn't knock it off at the line when he put his hands at AJ's neck/face.

Well look at the bright side...this can only help his street cred. :brow:
